# Bold Futures: AI & design with Nick Foster

Bold Futures hosted our second fireside chat on October 10. This time we had a great conversation with [Nick Foster](https://www.hellofosta.com/), former head of design at Google X.

Nick inspired us to think about the creative possibilities of AI by comparing it to the “fuzzy distortion” of amplifiers. Just as the distortion became a musical sensation and catalyst, the “mistakes” and “hallucinations” of AI might drive us to think more creatively about the task at hand.
